Everyday after work I come home, wash some wares, make something to eat, pace up my balcony (and back) - all in a vain to fill the gaping boredom hole and now entertain life without my PS3. Sometimes, I reach for the little black controller neatly placed on the left side of my couch, hit the PS button and just hope that the PS3 network is back up (even though I know it's not). Sad.
It's been about 12 days now (or 12000?) since the PS3 network has been down due to hackers or an "external intrusion". Apparently millions of gamers personal data has been compromised and quite possibly credit card information. This is one time I am glad that I was unable to use my credit card to purchase anything on the Sony PS3 due to the country I originate from.
I am even unable to watch Netflix movies through my PS3 and since I still sweat Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 (yes I do and thats that), all my game play is online on the non-functional PS3 network.
I seriously miss throwing a grenade and watching a bloody massacre after hearing "fire in the hole!".
I miss throwing a knife at someone and see them fall to their death.
I miss walking up to someone and shooting off a shotgun to observe some loser's bloody explosion of what seems to me a mixture of blood and paper money bills.
I miss joining a Team Death match late and still coming out on top with the highest score AND getting the last kill which is replayed in slow motion to everyone in the game.
Ah those were the days, seems like eons ago now!
Now I sit and watch a useless black box that is just occupying space and collecting dust. I still turn it on which inevitably ends in more torture than anything. Sigh.
